SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Local Community

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it is actually alarmed with regards to the large quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The services point produced for intervention ordeals a large sassa status inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
